ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved a 15 percent increase in the salaries of the Airport Security Force (ASF), which was confirmed by Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad.
According to details, the decision to increase the salaries of the Pakistan Army and security forces, which protect the country and the nation, is part of the government’s policy of providing economic security to the forces. The Home Minister said that the pay hike would be effective from March 1.
A few days ago, the federal government of PTI also announced an increase in the salaries of government employees. Under the notification issued by the Home Ministry, it was decided to give 15 percent allowance to the employees of scale 1 to 19.

PM Imran Khan has said that after the 18th amendment, various powers have been transferred from the federation to the provinces. The notification issued by the government also recommended to the provinces to provide allowances to the employees.
Earlier this month, during his visit to Balochistan, the prime minister announced a 15 percent increase in the salaries of Frontier Corps (FC) and Rangers personnel, aimed at encouraging the youth and providing economic security.
