KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee on Wednesday continued its gaining streak against the US dollar, appreciating 0.39% in the interbank.
At close, the currency settled at 277.48, an increase of Rs1.09, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
On Tuesday, the Pakistani rupee staged a recovery, climbing 0.44% to settle at 278.57 in the inter-bank market.
The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund is also slated to discuss Pakistan’s $3 billion SBA for a nine-month period on Wednesday, July 12.
The next meetings of the IMF Executive Board are set for July 12, 13, 17, 19, and 20, 2023, according to the calendar available on the IMF website; however, Pakistan was not on the agenda at the time this report was filed.
