Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has temporarily suspended its flight operations to several Gulf destinations in response to escalating tensions in the Persian Gulf region.
The move comes as part of precautionary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.
In an official statement, the national flag carrier confirmed that flights to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Dubai have been cancelled until further notice.
The decision follows increased risks linked to the evolving security situation in the Gulf, particularly amid the conflict between Iran and Israel and regional airspace restrictions.
“The safety of our passengers remains our top priority,” the PIA spokesperson emphasized, adding that all affected passengers will be accommodated on alternative flights once operations resume.
The airline is closely monitoring the situation and maintaining contact with relevant authorities to determine when it will be safe to reinstate services.
Passengers have been advised to remain in touch with PIA’s official communication channels and customer service for further updates, rebooking, or refund assistance.
The suspension of flights comes amid a broader pattern of disruptions in regional aviation, including Qatar’s recent temporary closure of its airspace and precautionary moves by other Gulf states.
