PIA partially restores its flight operation to UK

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has restored its flight operation to United Kingdom (UK) from today.
Initially, international flights will only be operated from the New Islamabad International Airport as a measure to curb the spread of the rapidly spreading coronavirus across the country.
The authorities will operate three commercial flights to the UK today after the completion of the necessary protective measures. The passengers coming from abroad will undergo comprehensive screening and will be kept in quarantine while wearing masks and gloves.
Moreover, PIA operated two special flights to Canada on 2nd April in order to send back its 620 citizens who were trapped in the country due to the suspension of international flights. PIA also resumed domestic flight operations to Gilgit and Skardu this week.
