A Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight bound for Dubai, carrying 150 passengers, narrowly avoided a crash on Tuesday after a bird struck its engine.
The bird collided with PIA flight PK-203 during takeoff, prompting the pilot to immediately contact the control tower and inform them of the incident. The pilot safely landed the flight back at Allama Iqbal International Airport after the runway was cleared on a priority basis.
A team of air engineers is currently inspecting the plane to assess any potential damages.
Last month, another PIA flight, traveling from Dammam to Multan, narrowly escaped a major accident due to alleged pilot negligence. According to reports, flight PK-150 was diverted to Lahore because of bad weather and dense fog in Multan.

However, upon landing in Lahore, the pilot made a critical error by landing on the wrong runway, even though the central runway was available.
This decision endangered the lives of all passengers on board, further exacerbated by the fact that the runway lights were turned off during landing, increasing the risk.
