KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has banned the traveling of Umrah pilgrims till 15th March due to the coronavirus disease.
The move was taken after the government of Saudi Arabia temporarily banned the pilgrims as well as passengers to enter its country for preventing the coronavirus.
On the other hand, the business visa holders will be allowed to travel to Dammam and Riyadh.
Pakistan earlier ob Wednesday detected its first two cases of coronavirus days after Islamabad closed its land border with Iran, where 19 people have died from the virus.
The first positive case was reported in Karachi in a 22-year-old male with a history of travel to Iran where he has acquired the virus.
The virus has up till now spread to more than 30 countries, killing over 2,700 and infecting 80,000, mostly in China.
