LAHORE: A petition has been filed against Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda for bringing boot in a talk show in the sessions court.
Session court judge Saifullah conducted the hearing of the plea in which he remarked that Faisal Vawda should be about a case lodged against him.
The judge notified that a local lawyer filed a petition to lodge a case against Vawda.
According to the petitioner, Faisal Vawda insulted the national institutions by lifting boot during a talk show.
He added, “The move made by Vawda has defamed the image of prestigious institutions.Â
Earlier this week, Vawda appeared on a talk show and mocked the opposition party’s slogan “Vote Ko Izzat Do” by saying “Boot Ko Izzat Do”, criticizing the party for deviating from its stance and lending unconditional support for the services chief’s tenure bills. He startled all by placing a black boot on top of a table.
In this regard, Prime Minister Imran Khan had banned him from appearing on any talk shows for two weeks, taking notice of the federal minister’s boot gimmick from a few days ago.Â
