KARACHI: A pair of pet dogs mauled and severely injured a passerby in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) of Karachi.
A video of the incident shows the owner walking his two pet dogs unleashed in Phase 6 area of DHA. Suddenly, the pet dogs attacked a passerby who was walking on the street and dragged him.
The elderly man received severe injuries. The dog’s owner and another man came to restrain the dogs to no avail. The men suddenly leave the elderly man on the street and leave with their dogs.
The injured man has been identified as Advocate Malik. He and his son have decided to lodge a case against the dog owner for attempted murder and negligence.
The dog owner, identified as Humayun Khan who also owns a salon, has offered to bear all medical expenses for the injured passerby. He has urged not to register a case against him.
