DIG-CTD Javed Iqbal has been dismissed from his designation in the case related to an explosion in a mosque in Peshawar.
According to details, police lines are recognized as Peshawar’s red zone, however, the suicide bomber planned long before entering the mosque. Explosives were carried into the mosque at intervals.
The suicide bomber entered the mosque as a guest, further investigation of the incident is ongoing, but due to the explosion in the Red Line area, serious questions are being asked about the competence of the top security officers.

In the Police Lines explosion case, a declaration was issued to relieve DIG CTD Javed Iqbal from his post. DPO Charsadda Sohail Khalid has been given an additional charge of DIG CTD.
The suicide blast resulted in the worst loss of life and property. All political figures including Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chairman PTI Imran Khan condemned terrorism. Asif Gohar has been appointed SP Special Branch.
