LAHORE: Leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Saturday sustained injuries during chaos in the Punjab Assembly ahead of the election of a new CM.
Chief Ministerial candidate Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was injured during a scuffle and altercation in the Punjab Assembly session. Meanwhile, the PMLQ leader has been provided with medical aid by the rescue personnel.
Earlier, PML-N members chanted slogans and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi went to his chamber afterward.
Talking to the media, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi explained that he was not feeling good at all. “They attempted to kill me and the action was taken on Shehbaz Sharif’s phone”, he claimed. He further said, “I’m still the speaker, it’s happening with the speaker.”
The PMLQ leader told that his arm has been broken and exclaimed that this is the democracy of the Sharifs.
He further said, “I was targeted, the police conducted the operation on the orders of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and I leave my case to Allah Almighty,” reiterating: “I have a breathing problem, my arm is broken, and I’m a speaker”.
Mr. Elahi also mentioned that when they were arrested, they were given all kinds of relief. Today, people have seen the democracy of the Sharifs.
