KARACHI: Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab has said that special centers have been set up across the province to sell cheap flour to the people of Sindh and a list of savings markets in Karachi and Hyderabad has also been released.
Murtaza Wahab said that flour would be available at Rs. 40 per kg from designated places in all districts of Sindh. On the special instructions of Bilawal Bhutto and orders of Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, the availability of flour at Rs. 40.
He further said that the district administration is also active in controlling the prices of other essential commodities. In this regard, Commissioner Karachi has directed the Deputy Commissioners to contact the Deputy Director Food Department.
Auto stalls will be set up in 5 shops in each district of the Karachi division and the selection of utility shops has been made keeping in view the convenience of the citizens of the entire district. On the other hand, the sources said that the directive to set up government flour stalls in 35 savings bazaars of Karachi could not be implemented.
