KARACHI: Mirza Nadeem Baig, Chairman Pakistan Chemicals and Dyes Merchants’ Association (PCDMA), has requested the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Mr. Javed Ghani to extend the deadline for filing Annual Income Tax Returns for 2 months in the view of COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement issued on Monday, the PCDMA chairman said that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the business community was facing difficulties in submitting annual income tax returns. This pandemic has severely affected business activities and caused a severe economic crisis, the majority of the business community has not been able to file income tax returns.
Therefore, in view of the current situation, the date for submission of annual income tax returns should be extended by two months so that the business community can easily submit their returns while dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
