The media director of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Aalia Rasheed, has resigned from her post, citing “personal engagements,” as reported by media outlets on Friday.
Sports journalist Aalia Rasheed served as the media director of the PCB for approximately six months.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed Aalia Rasheed as its new media director in October 2023. Aalia, who had previously worked with the board for a brief period in 2009, was brought in after Umar Farooq Kalson, hired by the board’s interim Management Committee chief Zaka Ashraf, was removed from the position.
The PCB has reappointed Sami-ul-Hasan Burney as the new media director. Currently, Sami-ul-Hassan Burney is engaged in a special project at the PCB.
Sami-ul-Hasan Burney was removed from the post by former PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf. Sami had also served as the media director at the International Cricket Council (ICC).
It should be noted that the new management of PCB has made different changes in recent days.
