The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan amounted to US$ 16,044.1 million, with the reserves of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported at US$ 11,418.3 million for the week ending January 31, 2025.
In a statement released on Thursday, the State Bank of Pakistan announced that the liquid foreign exchange reserves managed by the central bank had risen by US$ 46 million, reaching US$ 11,418.3 million as of the specified date.
A detailed analysis of the foreign reserves indicates that commercial banks possessed net foreign reserves totaling US$ 4,625.8 million during the reviewed period.
In comparison, the total liquid foreign reserves of the country for the previous week, ending January 24, 2025, were recorded at US$ 16,052.1 million.
At that time, the foreign reserves held by the central bank were noted as US$ 11,372.4 million, while commercial banks held net reserves of US$ 4,679.7 million.
