Pakistanis set up more than 8,000 new companies in the UAE in a year, making them the second-highest number of Pakistanis setting up new businesses in 2024 in the country.
As per reports, a total of 47,000 Pakistani businesses are registered in the UAE, with the highest number of companies registered by Indians in the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, with over 16,500.
Five thousand three hundred new companies were registered under the ownership of Egyptian citizens, while more than 2,600 British citizens also registered new companies.
1718 companies were registered in the name of Iraqi citizens, while last year, 1314 companies were registered by Turkish citizens in the UAE.
Pakistani Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, while talking to the media, said that the number of Pakistani investors in the UAE market is increasing.
“More Pakistanis are coming to Dubai for business, it is good for both countries, as more investment will help send more remittances back to the country,” he added.
