Pakistani musician and singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has turned 46 years old.
The famous singer was born on 9th December 1974 in Faisalabad. He is primarily a singer of Punjabi poetry. Son of Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan and the nephew of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, he is a Qawwal.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan also sings ghazals and light music. He has performed widely in Pakistan and India as well as around the world.

Khan was awarded a honorary degree in music by Oxford University in 2019. Oxford University had described him as a “Pakistani singer, primarily of Qawali, a devotional music of Muslim Sufis”.
He is among eight other individuals who have received their honorary degrees at the ceremony. In 2013, Bollywood actress and producer Pooja Bhatt added a song “Mann Ki Lagan” to the voice of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in his film “Pop”. He made Pakistan famous on the world stage by delivering a mystical speech at the Nobel Peace Prize Oslo in 2014.
