KARACHI: People’s Government of Gongsky Zhuang Autonomous Region, China has awarded the title of “The 2020 Gongsky” to Dr. Iqbal Chaudhry, Head of International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), Karachi University and Coordinator General of COMSTEC.
According to a spokesman for ICCBS, Karachi University, the award is being given to Professor Iqbal Chaudhry for his outstanding contribution to the economic and social development of Guangxi province. According to a letter written by Chinese officials, Prof. Iqbal Chaudhry will receive a gold medal and a one lakh RMB bonus for which a prize-giving ceremony will be held in March 2021.

It should be noted that Prof. Iqbal Chaudhry has rendered invaluable services in the field of Organic and Bio-Organic Chemistry. In this regard, about 1175 of his scientific publications have been published internationally. He has authored and edited 76 books in the United States and Europe.
In addition, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry is the editor of several foreign books and journals on chemistry, while his scientific work has been cited 27,000 times. In addition to receiving international awards, he has been awarded the Medal of Distinction, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, and Hilal-e-Imtiaz by the Pakistani government.
