ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI), Raja Najabat Hussain has stressed the need to develop a unified narrative on the Kashmir issue saying media can play a vital role to highlight the Kashmir cause.
Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International, Raja Najabat Hussain, in an exclusive interview at Kashmir House Islamabad, said “We have worked hard day and night for Kashmir cause but the struggle needs to be intensified. Pakistani media desperately needs to be linked up with world media,” he added.
He condemned the flagrant human rights violations in Kashmir by the occupying Indian forces and stressed the need for Pakistani media and youth to play their roles by keeping the issue on the front burner.
“Only an economically strong Pakistan can help Kashmiris win freedom from brutal Indian occupation. The dream of permanent peace and stability in South Asia hinges entirely on the solution of the decades-old dispute according to the resolutions on Kashmir passed by the United Nations long ago,” Najabat said.
He said that the ‘Modi mindset’ has in a way brought unity among our ranks and strengthened our resolve to support Kashmiris’ just cause of freedom. He lauded the efforts of Prime Minister Imran Khan and his government in highlighting the issue of Kashmir on various world forums.
The JKSDMI Chairman said, “We are proud that we are Pakistanis and even today a Kashmiri who embraced martyrdom is wrapped in the Pakistani flag and buried”.
“India will be exhausted by heating up the market of oppression, but our spirit of freedom will remain the same. Inshallah, Kashmir will become independent and one day it will become a part of Pakistan,” he added.
He said that the human rights defenders and the United Nations should come forward in a big way and save the Kashmiris from the Indian atrocities.
