Several Pakistani artists’ social media accounts have been blocked in India, as reported by national media on Thursday.
A report suggests that, following the shutdown of YouTube accounts belonging to Pakistani YouTubers and news channels, the Indian government, seemingly acting out of panic, has now set its sights on Pakistani actors.
Under a legal request related to content monitoring from India, Instagram has restricted access for Indian users to the accounts of several well-known Pakistani actors and influencers.

The actors whose accounts have been blocked in India include:
-
Actress Mahira Khan
-
Actress Hania Aamir
-
Actress Sajal Aly
-
Singer and actor Ali Zafar, among others.
Indian users trying to access these accounts receive the message: “The account is not available in India and has been restricted due to a legal request.”
It is noteworthy that the Modi government of India initiated retaliatory actions against Pakistan following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
The scope of these actions has extended from ordering Pakistani nationals to leave the country within 48 hours and limiting Pakistan’s diplomatic staff, to now targeting artists.
Meanwhile, the Indian media is actively engaged in propaganda against Pakistan, with talk show hosts fueling anti-Pakistan narratives.
There was unprovoked firing from the Indian side at the Line of Control, which was responded to promptly. Similarly, when Indian Rafale jets flew, the Pakistan Army detected them in time, after which the jets retreated.
