ISLAMABAD: South Africa has approached the International Court of Justice against Israeli atrocities on Gaza, while Pakistan welcomed South Africa’s bold move.
According to the details, Pakistan’s Acting Permanent Representative to the United Nations Usman Jadoon said during his address to the General Assembly that Pakistan welcomes South Africa’s knocking on the door of the International Court of Justice against Israel.
This week, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague will start a trial regarding the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza by Israel.
Acting Permanent Representative Usman Jadoon said that Pakistan is waiting for the legal position of the International Court of Justice regarding the occupied Palestinian territories. He also condemned Israel’s aggression on Gaza and the genocide of Palestinians.
Earlier, the southern side knocked on the door of the International Court of Justice on the Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian genocide. The Court of Justice confirmed South Africa’s move in a statement on social media website Twitter (X).
The International Court of Justice says that South Africa is accusing Israel of violating the UN Genocide Convention, while the Court of Justice was also requested to prosecute Israel at the international level.
