The Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds and thunderstorms with rain in most parts of the country, while there is also a possibility of rain in coastal areas of Sindh, including Karachi.
According to the Meteorological Department, strong winds and thunderstorms are expected in upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern/southern Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, with further rain expected in northern Punjab, Pothohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at some places in these areas.
In Islamabad and surrounding areas, strong winds and thunderstorms are expected, with a possibility of rain. Some places may experience heavy rain in the morning. Strong winds and thunderstorms are expected in Muree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Kasur, Khushab, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Bhakkar, and Dera Ghazi Khan, with a possibility of heavy rain at some places.
In Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Swabi, Nowshera, Mardan, Malakand, Mohmand, Khyber, Bajaur, Charsadda, Peshawar, Kohat, Hangu, Kurram, Orakzai, Waziristan, and Bannu, strong winds and thunderstorms are expected, with a possibility of heavy rain at some places.
In Balochistan, most districts will have partly cloudy weather, while strong winds and thunderstorms are expected in Khuzdar, Lasbela, Awaran, Musa Khel, Ziarat, Qila Saifullah, Loralai, Quetta, and Barkhan. In Sindh, most districts will have partly cloudy weather, while coastal areas may experience light rain. Strong winds and thunderstorms are expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, with a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Kashmir.
In Karachi, the weather is cloudy, with a possibility of light rain and drizzle. The current temperature in the city is 29 degrees Celsius, with a high of 33 degrees expected today.
The Meteorological Department says that winds are blowing at a speed of 19 kilometers per hour in Karachi, with a humidity level of 78%. According to the Air Quality Index, the city’s air quality is good, with Karachi ranking 18th among the world’s most polluted cities.
