NIAMEY: The 47th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will be held today in the capital of the Republic of Niger.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi arrived in Niger to attend the OIC Summit. The foreign minister and President Azad Kashmir will address the meeting. The participants will be briefed on the ongoing human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir while the challenges and important issues facing the Muslim Ummah will be discussed at the meeting.
The meeting will present Pakistan’s position in the US, Middle East, and global developments, while the foreign minister will also meet the Secretary-General of the OIC and the Foreign Ministers of various countries.

FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi in this regard said that OIC is an appropriate forum to raise a voice against barbarism in occupied Kashmir while the issue of Kashmir and Palestine will be discussed in the conference with foreign ministers of other countries.
Moreover, the OIC foreign ministers will also discuss, over two days, political, humanitarian, economic, social and cultural and other issues related to science and technology, the media, and the progress made in the implementation of the “OIC-2025: Plan of Action” document.
The Council meeting will also feature a brainstorming session on “Security and Humanitarian Challenges Confronting African Sahel States Members of the OIC”.
