The schedule for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been finalized. This time, 8 teams will be in action in the event, as reported by national media on Sunday.
According to sources, a meeting between PSL management and the franchises took place yesterday, during which the PSL management finalized the schedule for the 11th edition.
PSL 11 will once again take place during the IPL; due to the T20 World Cup, PSL 11 will be held next year in April and May. There is also a possibility of increasing the number of venues for PSL 11.
According to sources, 8 teams will be in action in the event this time. The PSL management has contacted individuals interested in purchasing the two new teams, and a large number of people want to buy these two new PSL franchises. Due to the inclusion of two new teams in PSL 11, the December and January window has been eliminated.
In the meeting, the franchises complained to the PSL management that the quality of pitches in PSL 10 was not satisfactory. An audit firm will soon be appointed for the valuation of the franchises.
It should be noted that there are currently 6 teams in the Pakistan Super League, which include Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, and Multan Sultans. With the addition of 2 more teams, the total number of teams participating in the tournament will rise to 8.
