KARACHI: The last day of the second five-day Test match between Pakistan and Australia is being played at the National Stadium. The national team scored 260 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in pursuit of the target of 506 runs.
According to the details, the national cricket team had scored 148 runs in the first innings in reply to Australia’s 556 runs. The visitors declared the second innings at 97 for 2. Pakistan needs 246 more runs to win.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Imam-ul-Haq (1) and Azhar Ali (6) were all out but opener Abdullah Shafiq and captain Babar Azam batted responsibly to bring the national team’s score close to 250 runs. Abdullah Shafiq lost the wicket on a total score of 249.

Opener Abdullah Shafiq scored 96 off 305 balls and was caught by Steve Smith off the ball of the visiting team captain Pat Cummins after suffering a nervous nineties. Babar Azam is still batting at 136 runs. A total of 3 wickets fell.
Earlier, national cricket team captain Babar Azam completed his century in the 78th over. This was Babar’s sixth Test century. As Babar hit the ball, spectators and fellow players applauded and paid tribute to him.
