ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported no death in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has risen to 1,532,464.
According to the latest figures by the National Institute of Health (NIH), at least 204 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 across the country in the past 24 hours.
Pakistan has conducted 13,300 tests in the past 24 hours out of which 204 persons were tested positive for the disease. The COVID Positivity Ratio was recorded at 1.53 percent.

The BA.5 Omicron variant of Covid-19 has entered Pakistan and many cases have been reported from Karachi and Hyderabad, the Sindh Health Department announced on Sunday. The BA.5 Omicron variant was first identified in South Africa in November. Meanwhile, the positivity rate of Covid-19 cases in Islamabad has also surged to 4.10%.
