ISLAMABAD: The coronavirus has claimed the lives of 62 more people in Pakistan and the total number of deaths has reached 9,392.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, 1,792 new cases were reported in the country and the total number has reached 458,968. In Pakistan, 49,085 coronavirus patients have recovered and 40,491 are undergoing treatment.
The highest number of deaths due to corona is in Punjab where 3,638 people have lost their lives while 3,333 in Sindh, 1,546 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 391 in Islamabad, 99 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 179 in Balochistan, and in Azad Kashmir, 206 people have lost their lives.
The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 36,257, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 55,183, in Sindh 24,840, in Punjab 131,933, in Balochistan 17,926, in Azad Kashmir 8,002 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4 827 people have been infected with the coronavirus.

The rate of positive cases across the country has reached 6.61 percent. In Hyderabad, the rate of coronavirus positive cases is highest at 24.59 percent. In Karachi, coronavirus positive cases rate is 11.20 percent, Rawalpindi 17.21 percent, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 7.47 percent, Balochistan 3.56 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 1.07 percent, and Islamabad 3.5 percent.
According to the NCOC, Punjab has 3.8 percent, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 8.19 percent, Sindh 9.20 percent, Lahore 8.08 percent, Faisalabad 3.79 percent, Multan 3.40 percent, Peshawar 9.23 percent, Swat 6.96 percent, Abbottabad 14.49 percent, Quetta 5.65 percent, Mirpur 7.92 percent and Muzaffarabad 13.57 percent.
