KARACHI: A further 57 deaths and 1,502 new cases have been reported in Pakistan due to the coronavirus.
According to the National Command and Control Center, the total number of deaths from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 12,185 while the total number of affected people has reached 559,093.
In the country, 516,683 people have recovered from coronavirus and the number of patients undergoing treatment is 30,225. The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 4,982 people lost their lives while 4,171 in Sindh, 1,976 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 481 in Islamabad, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 197 in Balochistan and 276 people have lost their lives in Azad Kashmir.
The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 42,279, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 68,972, in Sindh 252,296, in Punjab 162,391, in Balochistan 18,898, in Azad Kashmir 9,334 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4 A total of 923 people have been infected with Corona.
During the second wave of the coronavirus, the number of positive cases dropped significantly to 3.9 percent. The situation is back to pre-November 10 levels.

According to the National Command and Operations Center, the rate of positive cases of coronavirus in Karachi is 10.68 percent. The rate of positive cases in Islamabad is 1.18 percent, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 5.25 percent, in Punjab 5.97 percent, and in Sindh 10.23 percent.
In Azad Kashmir, the positive cases of coronavirus are 5.97 percent, in Balochistan 3.52 percent, and in Gilgit-Baltistan 0.56 percent. Coronavirus vaccination is underway in Pakistan and in the first phase, health workers are being vaccinated against coronavirus.
