ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported one more death in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of confirmed positive cases has surged to 1,524,086.
The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 30,346 on Monday.
According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 186 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Pakistan has conducted 28,159 tests in the past 24 hours out of which 186 persons were tested positive for the disease. The COVID Positivity Ratio was recorded at 0.66 percent.
The number of Covid patients in critical care in various hospitals across the country has come down to 420.
Pakistan last week reported zero daily Covid deaths for the first time in the past two years.
Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar, who also heads the NCOC, tweeted, “Alhamdulillah no covid related deaths reported in the country in the last 24 hours. This is the first time in 2 years that this has happened.”
