ISLAMABAD: At least 4,062 new cases of corona have been reported in Pakistan while 84 more civilians have died in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 1,194,198 people were infected with corona across the country, while 26,497 people died from the virus.
During the last 24 hours, 63,161 tests were performed to diagnose Corona, bringing the total number of tests to 182,866,469. Nationwide, the corona test result was positive at 6.43 percent.
The worst affected provinces were Punjab and Sindh. In Punjab, 48,758 cases and 12,135 deaths were reported, while in Sindh, the virus-infected 441,410 people and killed 7,073.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,66,564 people were affected and 5,175 died from corona, while in Balochistan, 32,480 cases and 342 deaths were reported. In Islamabad, 11840 people were infected with the virus while 879 died.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, 10,109 people were affected and 179 killed. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 33,037 cases and 714 deaths were reported. The number of active cases of Corona across the country has risen to 91,589.
In the last 24 hours, 4,136 cases of the virus have infected the corona nationwide, bringing the number of healthy people to 1,076,112, while the death rate in the last day has been 2.2 percent.
