ISLAMABAD: Around ten more people have died in Pakistan due to the coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths from the coronavirus to 6,702.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, 736 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 325,480. There are 9,642 coronavirus patients under treatment in Pakistan and 39,136 have recovered.
The coronavirus has killed 2,323 people in Punjab and 2,590 in Sindh. The death toll in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has risen to 1,266, 201 in Islamabad, 148 in Balochistan, 90 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 84 in Azad Kashmir.
The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad has reached 18,438. At least 102,107 cases have been reported in Punjab, 142,641 in Sindh, 38,810 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,738 in Balochistan, 4,107 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 3,639 in Azad Kashmir.

There are facilities for coronavirus patients in 735 hospitals in Pakistan and the number of ventilators for coronavirus patients in hospitals is 1,920. There are 132 testing laboratories operating in the country and trace, test, and quarantine strategies are working effectively in several cities.
Moreover, the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) on Wednesday said that there is an urgent and immediate need to ensure the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for coronavirus prevention. The regulatory body noted that there has been a clear resurgence in virus cases and deaths.
