ISLAMABAD: At least 3,902 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan while 83 more civilians have died in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 1,190,136 people across the country were infected with the coronavirus, while 26,413 civilians died from the virus.
During the last 24 hours, 60,537 tests were performed to diagnose coronavirus, bringing the total number of tests to 182,23,308. Nationwide, the virus test result was 6.44%.
The worst affected provinces were Punjab and Sindh. In Punjab, 46,960 cases and 12,118 deaths were reported, while in Sindh, 440,164 people were infected and 7,030 died.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,65,980 people were affected and 5,155 died from coronavirus, while 32,456 cases and 342 deaths were reported in Balochistan. In Islamabad, 11550 civilians were infected and 877 died.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, 10,084 people were affected by coronaviruswhile 179 died. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 32,942 cases and 712 deaths were reported. The number of active cases of coronavirus across the country has risen to 91,747.
In the last 24 hours, 4,387 cases of the virus have infected the coronavirusnationwide, bringing the number of healthy people to 1,071,976, while the death rate in the last day has been 2.2 percent.
