MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has asserted that Pakistan was ready to hold talks with all parties in Afghanistan to establish peace and stability in the region.
Addressing a press conference in Multan today (Saturday), the Foreign Minister said Pakistan wants a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan, which is in the interest of the whole region.
FM Qureshi pointed out that Prime Minister Imran Khan has clearly presented his stance in front of the Afghan delegation that peace should prevail in Afghanistan.
Speaking about the recently held elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the foreign minister said that the PTI leadership was grateful to the voters for giving a huge mandate to their party.
Taking about South Punjab, the minister said 35 percent budget allocated in the current fiscal year for South Punjab would be spent on the development of the region. Separate quota of jobs and development projects has been allocated for South Punjab,” he added.
The Foreign Minister added that South Punjab Secretariat cannot be rolled back and it will be fully authoritative till the establishment of a separate province.
