Pakistan Railways has increased the fares for passenger and freight trains by 3 to 4 percent, and this will be effective from this month.
According to details, the fare increase for passenger trains will take effect from June 20. The Railway Department stated that fares for all intercity and passenger trains have been increased by 3 percent.
Pakistan Railways stated that freight train fares have been increased by 4 percent. The rate of increase at Azakhel Dry Port has been set at 10 percent.
Officials stated that there will be no increase in fares for petroleum products, warfage, and others. The new fare table will be available on the Pakistan Railways website.
