ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy on Wednesday conducted a demonstration of missiles fire from the surface to air which successfully hit their targets.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi observed the demonstration of the missile firing. He expressed satisfaction over Pakistan Navy’s operational preparedness.
Speaking on the occasion, the Naval Chief said the excellent demonstration of missiles firing shows the navy’s operational capabilities and war preparations
He said Pakistan Navy is fully capable to give a befitting response to any aggression. He said the officers of Pakistan Navy are ready to defend the maritime boundaries of the country and naval installations.
Earlier on December 24, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi chairing the Command and Staff Conference of Pakistan Navy and expressed confidence over combat readiness of the force.
The conference at Naval Headquarters reviewed matters related to geostrategic issues, national security, operational preparedness, training and welfare of troops. The naval chief was briefed on various ongoing and future development projects of the Pakistan Navy.
Admiral Niazi emphasised on strengthening maritime security and effectively responding to any aggression against Pakistan. He lauded initiatives taken towards capability development through acquisition of emerging technologies. The forum also discussed the COVID-19 situation and reaffirmed the implementation of government policies to restrict the spread of the pandemic.
