ISLAMABAD: Around 180 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country while 4 more people died of the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Institutes of Health, a total of 1,524,973 people were infected with the coronavirus across the country, while 30,359 people lost their lives to the virus. The mortality rate remains at 2 percent.
During the last 24 hours, 29,315 tests were conducted across Pakistan while the proportion of positive cases was 0.80 percent. The number of tests performed so far has reached 27.51 million while 403 patients with coronavirus are in intensive care.
In the last 24 hours, 189 patients with coronavirus have been infected with the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1.485 million. The active cases of coronavirus have become 8,690.

At least 575,331 cases were reported in Sindh, 55,054 in Punjab, 219,062 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 135,075 in Islamabad, 35,474 in Balochistan, 43,269 in Azad Kashmir, and 11,708 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
In Punjab, 13,557 people died due to coronavirus. Around 8,097 people were killed in Sindh, 6,321 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,023 in Islamabad, 792 in Azad Kashmir, 378 in Balochistan, and 191 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
