ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Jahangir Tareen has said that Pakistan was paying a huge cost because of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) government.
Jahangir Tareen posted a tweet in which h wrote, “The PML-N inherited the LNG deals that cost us $8.60. Our own buying averages 25 percent less.”
“But we are forced to buy 75 percent of the total needed under PML-N contracts. Today the prices have dropped to less than $4. LNG produced power costs Rs 12/unit today,” he tweeted.

He further wrote, “This would be approx Rs 8/unit if the party had not made these monumentally flawed contracts. This would bring down ave tariff by Rs 1/unit saving consumers Rs. 100 Billion per year. Year after year. That’s the huge cost being paid by every Pakistani for the sweet deals of PML N Government.”

Earlier on 7th February, Tareen met Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad to discuss issues related to the alliance partners. Both also discussed the issues regarding agriculture, overall political scenario and party matters during the meeting.
