In response to rising Pakistan-India tensions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has convened an urgent meeting of foreign diplomats, scheduled for 6 PM today in Islamabad.
The purpose of the session is to brief foreign envoys on India’s recent acts of aggression and present Pakistan’s official stance and response.
According to diplomatic sources, the meeting will include a comprehensive briefing outlining India’s unprovoked actions, their potential impact on regional stability, and Pakistan’s reaction.
The briefing aims to counter Indian propaganda and present the facts to the international community.
Officials say this move is part of Pakistan’s broader diplomatic strategy to raise global awareness about the deteriorating security situation and highlight the consequences of India’s belligerent policies.
Tensions escalated dramatically last night when, under the cover of darkness, India launched airstrikes targeting civilian areas in Pakistan — an act widely condemned as a declaration of war.
In retaliation, the Pakistan Armed Forces launched a robust and immediate counteroffensive. According to military sources, Pakistan shot down five Indian warplanes, including three Rafale jets, and destroyed multiple military outposts, including a brigade headquarters. On the Line of Control (LoC), Indian forces reportedly raised white flags at the Chora Complex, effectively conceding defeat.
Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar confirmed in a morning press briefing that Indian forces surrendered by waving white flags after suffering significant damage.
“The Pakistan Army has inflicted substantial losses on enemy posts along the LoC, including downing five fighter jets and one drone,” he stated.
Military operations are still ongoing, with continued reports of heavy losses being inflicted on the Indian side.
