Pakistan has strongly condemned the United States’ attacks on Iran’s nuclear installations, expressing deep concern over the potential escalation of tensions in the region.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan reiterated its position that such attacks constitute a violation of all principles of international law, and affirmed that Iran has the full right to self-defense under the United Nations Charter.
Pakistan said that the ongoing aggression against Iran and the resulting surge in tensions and violence is deeply troubling. It warned that any further escalation could have extremely grave consequences for the region and beyond.
Pakistan emphasized the importance of respecting civilian life and property and called for an immediate end to the conflict. The statement urged all parties to adhere fully to international law, particularly international humanitarian law.
Pakistan further said that dialogue and diplomacy— in accordance with the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter— remain the only viable path to resolving the regional crisis.
