Pakistan has expressed deep concern over the rising incidents of Islamophobia and has exposed the violations of Muslim rights in India, as reported by national media on Saturday.
According to details, Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan issued a statement saying that Pakistan is deeply concerned about the increasing incidents of Islamophobia in India, where Muslims are being targeted with hate speeches and discriminatory actions.
“Targeting Muslims under state patronage is a matter of concern for the international community.” He stated.
According to the statement, the Foreign Office said that Pakistan calls on the Indian government to uphold the rights and protection of all its citizens, regardless of their religion.
The spokesperson further stated that there is an urgent need for tolerance and reconciliation given the current situation in India. Promoting religious hatred is a violation of international human rights, and spreading religious bigotry harms regional stability and harmony.
It is worth noting that in India, especially against Muslims and other minorities, mistreatment is becoming a daily occurrence. The Modi government appears to have failed in fostering understanding and religious harmony among the public.
Hostile actions against Muslims, based on political rivalry and religious animosity, have also involved leaders of the Modi government themselves, resulting in widespread anger among Muslim communities toward the Indian government.
