ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned the brazen terrorist attack on civilians in a madrassa in Samangan, Afghanistan which took place on Wednesday resulting in the loss of precious lives and injuries to others.
The blast, it may be recalled, tore through a religious seminary in the northern Afghan province of Samangan on Wednesday, killing 15 people and injuring more than 20 others. International leaders as well as leading Afghan personalities strongly condemned the explosion that took innocent lives.
The US special representative Thomas West condemned the attack against innocent civilians and added that all Afghan children have the right to go to school without any risk.
Rina Amiri, the United States Special Representative for Afghan Women, Girls & Human Rights, tweeted:
“The brutal attack in Samangan that killed & wounded dozens, mainly children, is beyond heartbreaking. Such cowardly violence against children is an attack on Afghanistan’s future & must stop. My heart is with the families.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson said “the government and people of Pakistan extend their sympathies and condolences. We stand in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan and the bereaved families in this moment of grief.”
Meanwhile, the UN Security Council too strongly condemned the blast، calling it heinous crime against humanity.
