Pakistan is celebrating Eid-ul-Adha today with deep religious devotion, honoring the timeless legacy of sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) and his son Prophet Ismail (PBUH).
The day commenced with congregational Eid prayers held in mosques and open grounds across the country, where worshippers prayed for the unity, peace, and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah.
Following the prayers, Muslims are carrying out the ritual of animal sacrifice, commemorating the devotion and unwavering faith of Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) as part of a cherished Islamic tradition.
In his Eid message, President Asif Ali Zardari underscored the significance of embodying the values of sacrifice, compassion, brotherhood, and unity in everyday life, encouraging the nation to uphold these principles beyond the festivities.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message to the nation, highlighted Eid-ul-Adha as a profound symbol of obedience and devotion to divine will. He remarked that the true spirit of the occasion lies not only in the physical act of sacrifice, but in the willingness to set aside personal interests in pursuit of higher ethical ideals.
