A Pakistan Air Force training aircraft on Tuesday experienced a technical malfunction and crashed near Ratta Tibba in the Luddan Mandi area of Vehari District.
The pilots aboard managed to eject safely using parachutes, escaping without injuries. Witnesses observed the aircraft crash into fields close to a private oil company’s depot, 24NewsHD reported.
Following the incident, local authorities promptly arrived at the crash site, secured the area, and initiated rescue and recovery operations.
While the precise cause of the crash remains unknown, officials have begun an investigation to determine the source of the technical issue.
Earlier this year, a PAF plane had crashed in Risalpur, Nowshera District, Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa.
The training jet’s wreckage was found in fields near the runway. Some reports claimed that the pilot may have lost their life in the incident, but Pakistan Air Force or state Television did not confirm the news.
