RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army has shot down another Indian spy drone after it violated the country’s airspace on Saturday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Army troops shot down an Indian spying quadcopter today in Chakothi Sector along LOC.
“The quadcopter intruded 500 meters on Pakistan’s side of LOC,” the army’s media wing said. It is the second quadcopter of the year to be shot down by the forces as the first one was downed on January 1, 2021, by the Pakistan Army in the Nausheri Sector along LOC.

Earlier Pakistan military troops shot down an Indian spy drone after it violated the country’s airspace in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir.
Pakistani troops downed the drone when it intruded 600 meters inside Pakistan’s territory for surveillance along the Line of Control that divides the Pakistani- and Indian-controlled portions of Kashmir.
At the turn of the New Year, on January 1, the army shot down a spy Indian quadcopter in the Bagh sector along the LoC. Within 24 hours, a second was shot down in Satwal Sector along the LoC.
“Not even a quadcopter will be allowed to cross LoC, InshaAllah,” then DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor had vowed”.
According to military sources, the Indian military uses quadcopters for aerial photography of Pakistani posts along the LoC as part of its intelligence-gathering operations and target selection before carrying out cross-LoC shelling.
