The Pakistani and Russian navies conducted a joint naval exercise, “Arabian Monsoon-VI,” in the North Arabian Sea on Wednesday, aiming to bolster maritime security and improve interoperability, the Pakistan Navy announced in a statement.
According to the Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR) of the Pakistan Navy, the exercise featured a range of naval assets from Pakistan, including a Destroyer, an Offshore Patrol Vessel, a Fast Attack Craft equipped with missiles, a Maritime Patrol Aircraft, and a UAV, alongside Russian Federation Navy ships.
The drill involved complex maritime warfare exercises and coordinated patrols designed to enhance the operational synergy of both forces.
Moreover, fighter aircraft from the Pakistan Air Force participated in the exercise, showcasing the multifaceted nature of the collaboration.

During their visit, Russian navy delegates met with Pakistan Navy officials and paid homage to Pakistan’s founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, by laying a floral wreath at his mausoleum.
Earlier, on March 13, the Russian navy flotilla arrived in Karachi, where both navies engaged in harbor drills, cross-ship visits, and table-top discussions to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Pakistan Navy routinely partners with allied and friendly nations in military exercises to enhance operational synergy, support regional peace, and counter maritime threats like piracy, drug trafficking, and other illegal activities.
