A training aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force crashed near Risalpur in the Nowshera district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Police reports indicate the aircraft went down in fields close to the runway wall. Following the crash, a fire broke out onboard, with unconfirmed reports suggesting that the pilot may have lost their life.
Emergency services, including Rescue 1122, ambulances, and fire brigade teams from the Pakistan Air Force and Army, swiftly arrived at the scene to contain the situation.
Authorities have confirmed that the aircraft wreckage has been secured near the runway, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
Last October, a PAF training aircraft had crashed due to a technical fault in the mountainous region of Gadoon Amazai, in the village of Gandaf Bar Kali, Swabi.
Both pilots successfully ejected using parachutes, but sustained minor injuries. They were immediately airlifted by an Air Force helicopter to the hospital.
