ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government has decided to expand the ongoing rescue and relief efforts for Türkiye into a countrywide campaign.
Taking to Twitter the other day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said his government had decided to expand the ongoing rescue and relief efforts for Turkey into a countrywide campaign.

“We will enlist the support of business community, religious scholars and education institutions,” he said, adding that Pakistan would continue to stand by Turkey in this difficult hour.
His statement came just a day after the Turkish authorities asked PM Shehbaz and other Pak officials not to go ahead with their plan to visit the earthquake hit country as they were busy in massive rescue and relief efforts.
Earlier,Minister for Federal Education Rana Tanvir Hussain said in line with the directions of the Prime Minister, a meeting has been convened to immediately mobilize all available resources for assisting the relief operations for Turkey and Syria.
Taking to Twitter, he said students of schools and colleges had started contribution of donations on the call of government and we are proud of our young generation.
Meanwhile, another special aircraft carrying assistance package from Pakistan including wintered Tents and blankets has been dispatched for Syria.
