LAHORE: Police have arrested at least 50 students of Punjab University on charges of rioting during the ongoing examination.
As per GEO News, the university’s administration claimed that the students tried to enter the examination hall during the exam of physical education.
The students gathered to help one of their friends with the paper and some of them who entered the examination hall included those who had been previously expelled from the university for staging protests.

There were cases registered against them. The statement further stated that these students belong to an organisation. According to the police, students who violate the decorum of the university will be dealt with severely.
Moreover, a hashtag of ‘Release_PU Students’ has been trending on social media since morning where many users have demanded to release the apprehended students.
