The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken another revolutionary step in the health sector in line with the vision of the PTI founder.
According to Information Advisor Barrister Saif, transplant and implant services will be provided free of cost now. All expenses for kidney, liver, and bone marrow transplants will be covered by the government under the Health Card.
Additionally, the government will also bear the high cost of cochlear implant treatment. Barrister Saif further stated that the rehabilitation of drug addicts will soon be included in the Health Card program, and in this regard, the Chief Minister has issued necessary directives to the health department.
The spokesperson of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Saif, stated that the rules and regulations regarding the use of the cannabis plant for treatment, research, and industrial purposes have also been approved.
It is worth noting that under the Health Card facility, a large number of people benefit from healthcare services, which is considered a major initiative of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
On the other hand, several types of treatments are still not covered under the Health Card facility, causing difficulties for the public. However, the government is determined to take steps to address this.
