ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information, Fawad Hussain Chaudhry has blamed opposition parties’ leaders for trying to buy government MNAs for a no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Addressing a Press conference today in Islamabad, the minister, while pointing toward the opposition leaders’ meetings on Tuesday, said that three big buyers met the previous day and tried to buy our three MNAs, “The MNAs have reported us that they had been offered for the no-trust move,” he added.
Opposition parties, including the PPP, PML-N, and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam are busy in political contacts to pave a way for no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar. In this connection the opposition leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, PPP Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and JUI chief Maulana Fazlul Rehman had exclusive meetings on Tuesday.
Moreover, Asif Ali Zardari has invited the Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) leadership for dinner at Bilawal House Lahore tonight.Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, accompanied by Federal Minister for Water Resources Moonis Elahi, Housing Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema, and Salik Hussain, will attend the dinner reception.
Political matters especially the no-trust move against Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar will come under discussion during the meeting between leaders of both parties.

The former president had earlier this month met with the Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) leadership in Lahore to get support for the opposition’s planned no-trust move. Subsequently, a high-level meeting of PML-Q leaders had given Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi powers to make all decisions on the party’s behalf.
On Tuesday, the opposition leader in National Assembly and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif met with former president Asif Ali Zardari in Lahore. The meeting between the two bigwigs was held at Bilawal House Lahore wherein matters related to the political situation, no-trust move, and long march were discussed.
