Oppo is set to launch its next foldable flagship, the Find N5, which will be the world’s thinnest foldable phone. At just 3.5–4mm thick when unfolded, the Find N5 will surpass the current leader, the Honor Magic V3, which measures 4.35mm.
Teased by Oppo’s Chief Product Officer Pete Lau on Weibo, the Find N5’s ultra-slim profile is even thinner than a standard pencil, setting a new benchmark for foldable devices. Despite its slim design, the phone will feature a titanium alloy hinge for durability.
While Oppo hasn’t officially confirmed the full specs, leaks suggest the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset will power the Find N5, paired with a 5,900mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. It’s also expected to feature a triple 50MP rear camera setup for high-quality photos.
Although the Find N5 will launch in China first, Oppo has previously rebranded its foldable phones for international markets, meaning the device could also debut globally as the OnePlus Open 2.
With foldable phones often being bulkier than traditional smartphones, the Find N5 aims to offer the expansive screen size of a foldable without compromising on portability.
